on saturday at the death petrol fest PUIK i will have a couple of new things ready like a COARSEBANGOR CDR , a small selection of screenprinted clothes, posters,.. bring your shit and lets trade.
i will also have the UNKNOWN GLUE CDR with me that i released on my freshly dedication-to-dylan nyoukis label 'hey, dylan, howsitgoing?' records. its actually a poster edition that comes with a very quiet cdr. the posters are huge (70x100cm) all multicolor screenprinted as you can see below.

these English beercans seriously sound like BARRY MANILOW playing with a
pile of greyhounds and drinking PAX PILS. a disc filled with vomit sex
tribes and trunksounds. unlistenable mommy and daddy guitars collide
with fonky vocals and metalic dust. this is sundaymusic made by two men
who wear hotpants and white underwear in a truly womanlike-way but still
havin' a babemagnet reputation. unique! comes in a nicely done
silkscreen in true Ladies-man Crama style (c.q. "must be destroyed to open")

-- Max Eisenslimer - Ghost Safari CDR - drama 12
maximum MAX EISENBERGER from NAUTICAL ALMANAC and RUBBED RAW fame takes
it to our face. DJ DOGDICK, the drummer, the singer and the man.
seriously good fried pans and scumbo combining shimmering deep tone and
hot baked layers. a truly fresh breath conceived in the ever glorious
streets of Baltimore-O. like soap, bleach and white paint. i'd say this
is one of the best slams of electronucs in 2006. nicely dressed-up in a
charming handsewn silkscreen cover... i'm ringin' the *CLASSIC* hotline
right now.

-- Hetero Skeleton - Asscension CDR - drama 13
from the land of HESSBURGER comes a troupe of vaporous curly men. this
is their book of white love. this is acid scumbo jams involving a bear,
a beer and other wacky creatures. burping, screaming and a shout. best
drums and cuty instruments. twisted nordic vibes in a true Finland way.
this is the jammer JAMES CHANCE forgot to record. and forgot to mention.
funny neat silkscreen jacket and collage b/w insert.

allright, the 3rd edition of the death petrol fest is coming soon and we're starting to accept subscriptions from musicians, visual artists, writers, dj's and madmen working in an experimental field. there will be more merchtables available than last year, but reservations are neccesary. please read on about our and your input to the mega lazy low key vibe of ibiza acoustica.

MUSICAL PART (no sound installation!)
we wont take care for any sound installation/PA/amps since we prefer acoustic sets this time. only one powerpoint per stage is available for them who bring their own electronic devices and amplification.

VISUAL PART (wires!)
our ideas about presentation will depend on what kind of art has been send in, sniff some glue and shoot your proposals otherwhise we hang everything on wires between the trees. for screenings (shortfilms, animations, digital photos,..) there will be a projector and/or tv.

NO MONEY, NO FOOD
entrance is free as always and we're not applying for funding this year, so don't expect any money from us for travel costs or other expenses. you can bring your own food to burn it on our veggie/non veggie bbq.

till wed 26th of july you can let us know if you want to play with your band, show artwork or have a merchtable. just leave a comment on our site www.deathpetrol.be or email to dadpetrol@yahoo.com . priority will be given to acoustic-only bands. questions like "can we borrow ... from you" will be ignored. check back the site now and then for more practical info and program updates.

Deathbomb Arc Potluck #3 this Saturday!

This is the official announcement for Deathbomb Arc Potluck #3. If you will be in Los Angeles this Sat June 17th and would like to come, now is the time to rsvp to dbombarc@deathbombarc.com. But first, some background info:

Last summer I became interested in figuring out a way to run a record label that was outside the typical consumerist model; that fuctioned without the direct exchange of money. I ended up starting the Deathpot sublabel and the corresponding Deathbomb Arc Potluck series as a result. At these events people bring a dish of food and in exchange get a release to take home, plus get to hang out for the potluck event that includes various types of entertainment, from live performance to swimming to just casual socializing. At the end of the event everyone leaves their leftovers with the organizers of the event.

Deathbomb Arc Potluck #3 is no different. Once again there will be swimming, a BBQ available (this is not a vegan-only event, FYI), live music, and a party favor to take home. The party favor this time is a 4-color silkscreened poster made and designed by Jelle Crama of Belgium (the same fellow who designed the NHY666 posters... but this is a different unique poster). The live performances will be by: Fortress of Amplitude (member of Extreme Animals), Kevin Shields, and Naomi (from San Diego).

Best to arrive to this event by 1pm, but we know how it goes.

was a defenitly a fun evening!!
it started with an outher space set of THE JOYOUS COSMOLOGY in which luco mich played the theremin with an enthousiasm as if he was on xtc, maybe he was. you can expect anything from this 50 year old fluxus artist. anyway, after this at the entrance we could listen to the happy lovecrime tunes from the magic casiohippieduo GROOTE (http://users.skynet.be/imvated/groote.htm) who had set-up in their own party atmosphere totally filled with balloons and cookies.

meanwhile in the other end of the room kati heck had gathered 4 strong men to put her 250kg heavy dessert on a table. it was a big pudding made in the shape of brains that was drowning in a red fruitjuice, impressive! at the end of the night one guy totaly freaked out on the humungus dessert and ate it at lightspeed. he filled his mouth with his big hands one after another, INSANE!

in the upstairs room harry hyhs the guy who stted this up had a totaly crazy blow up puppet made out of plastic toys and shopping bags. i really loved that, unfortunetaly i dont know anyone who took a picture of it.

next week im part of a group exhibition at factor 44 in antwerp. im happy that my friends KATI HECK and JOSEPH JESSEN are also on the bill next to SHANGLIE ZOU and a HYHS/ITO TAKASHI collab. musical performances will be done by GROOTE and THE JOYOUS COSMOLOGY.

PUIK is a little label i started to regularly release live shows and retarded situations + local bands. packaging is done way simpler and quicker than what i do for my DRAMA label. if theres only a number on the packaging, then its a bootleg from a show i went to, first tapes contain shows of can't, fat worm of error, mouthus, hellvete... these bootlegs mainly are totaly raw unedited tapes with sometimes annoying sounds from people at, going to or leaving the show.
